Main Centre is now functional from 9th June 2020 with limited services.

Dear Members,
 
1.      Further to our e-mail dated 08 June 2020, we wish to inform our Members that in accordance with the guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Government of India on 4th June, 2020 and by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) on 7th June 2020, the Main Centre is now functional from 9th June 2020 with limited services.
 
2.      In this regard, Members may please note that besides any condition which may be enforced by the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD) / MHA the Centre is functioning as given below:
 
General
 
3.      For one and all the entry to Main Centre is only through Gate Nos. 2 & 3. All Members / visitors have to mandatorily undergo thermal screening and any one with body temperature above (37.3oC / 99.14oF) or other visible problems is not allowed entry. Other requirements include:
 
(i) Wearing of face cover (mask) is compulsory for any person visiting the Centre. Disposable masks are available, on payment, at the Reception. Members may dispose of their masks in the designated bins placed in the Centre’s premises.
 
(ii) Members residing in the Containment Zones are requested not to visit the Centre.
 
(iii) Members are required to use hand sanitizers (placed at various locations) after entering the Centre. 
 
(iv) Social distancing norms are to be strictly adhered by all     members while they are in the Centre’s premises.
 
(v) Persons above 65 years of age, persons with comorbidities and pregnant women are advised not to visit the Centre.
 
(vi) Members visiting the Centre are advised to download Aarogya Setu Application on their mobiles.
 
Dining Hall / Lounges
 
4.1    The Dining Hall and Main Lounge open and close at the prescribed hours except Dining Hall which closes at 2030 hrs.   The last order for catering in the Dining Hall is received upto 1945 hrs. Keeping in view the social distancing norms, seating inside these venues has been re-arranged. 
 
4.2    The staff on duty is screened for their health conditions/hygiene before reporting for duty and are mandatorily wearing face-masks, head covers, and hand gloves while on duty.
 
4.3    The preparation of food in the kitchen is personally supervised by the Executive Chef to effectively ensure hygiene and sanitation. The kitchen staff on duty is also thoroughly checked for health / hygiene before being put on duty.
 
 
Bakery and Take-away 
 
5.1    Members can call the Centre [at Tel. No. (011) 2461 9431] and place their orders for take-away food items.  The ordered food would be ready for pick-up at the especially designated counter (in the Main Verandah) on the delivery day from 1030 hrs to 1930 hrs. In case the ordered food is not collected, the full bill for the same shall be debited to the Member’s account. 
 
5.2    The Bakery outlet, is also functional from 9th June 2020, from 1030 to 1930 hrs.

Programmes
 
 
6.      Arrangements have been made to conduct online-programmes through web platforms.  The details of such programmes are available on the IIC Website and Members can view them as per their convenience. In the case of live programmes, Members are being informed in advance through e-mails.
 
Library & Hostel Room
 
7.      The current guidelines issued by GNCTD & MHA restrict us to open our Library and Hostel Rooms.  We are awaiting instruction from Government of NCT to open them and would intimate all immediately on its receipt.  Inconvenience is regretted.
 
8.      Those Members who have drawn books from Library may await opening of the Library.  No overdue charges would be levied due to delayed return.
