Representing Children's Worlds: Gender, Media and Society
The seminar will explore the normative constructions and ideas of childhood and their representations in a range of contexts such as the media, conflict with authorities and armed conflict, and children's own expressions in the written and visual media. Speakers include Deepa Srinivas, Asha Singh, Nandini Chandra, Radha Misra, Dilnaz Boga, Shobna Sonpar, Deep Purkayastha and Kamla Bhasin
