Bapu: The Craftsperson's Vision
An exhibition of work by craftspersons who have portrayed Bapu through the medium of their art"”Nirmala from Jharkhand with appliqué work; Chandra Bhushan and Bindeshwar from Madhubani; Gond artist Mohan; mata ne pachedi by Jagdish and bandhej; patachitra from West Bengal and Orissa; kantha embroidery by Etima Begum from West Bengal; Bhil crafts from Madhya Pradesh; Warli paintings by Rajesh Chaity Vangad from Maharashtra; terracotta panels from Rajasthan; sanjhi from Mathura; and wooden printing blocks from U.P.
There will be a demonstration of spinning on the charkha in the Art Gallery from 11:00 to 19:00 daily
