  1. At a recent meeting (22 Nov 2019) the Board of Trustees have approved the amendment of the existing Rules and Regulations of the IIC.

  1. Amendment to the Election Bye-Laws:

During the elections held in March 2019 there were complaints of violation of election bye-laws by certain contesting Members.  This issue was also raised at the AGBM held on 30th March 2019 wherein several Members expressed anguish about the conduct of certain contestants. To fill the gaps and strengthen the existing electoral system the existing Election Bye-Laws were got seen and reviewed by Shri Akshay Rout, former Director General, Election Commission of India, and Shri S.K. Mendiratta, an eminent Lawyer and former Legal Adviser to the Election Commission of India.  The revised Bye-laws are envisaged to deter the violators. The revised Bye-laws for elections to the Board of Trustees and the Executive Committee may be seen at Annexures I and Annexures II.

As per the present policy, applicants are offered Short Term Associate Membership (STAM) which is valid for a period of three years and extendable, on a case to case basis, by a further two years, based on their contribution to the activities of the Centre.
