Aadhe Adhure is a play by Mohan Rakesh about the psychological and emotional breakdown of an urban middle-class family in 1960s India. The story focuses on the dissatisfied housewife, Savitri, her unemployed husband, Mahendranath, and their three children, as they deal with family conflict, unfulfilled desires, and economic hardship. The play explores themes of marital conflict, the quest for an ideal partner, and the identity crisis faced by each family member, making it a realistic and poignant portrayal of modern family life.
