A New India@75 needs a governance model that brings together innovation, technology, enterprise and efficient management with a clean and fair public administration. Since independence, the Union Government has constituted more than 50 commissions and committees to look unto administrative and civil service reforms. The talk will present the contemporary international framework in terms of civil services reforms in the period 1950-2021 presenting the strengths and challenges of India’s civil service reforms vis a vis civil services reforms in the USA and Nigeria.
