An exhibition of Dadi D. Pudumjee’s art of puppetry since 1980
 
The exhibition celebrates the creativity and ingenuity of Indian puppeteer, Dadi D. Pudumjee who’s work has inspired many generations of puppeteers. On view are a diverse collection of his puppets which have been put together for the first time, in this unique display from the early work created during his Sutradhar Puppet Theatre days at Shri Ram Centre for Arts and Culture to his work for television, film, theatre, award winning productions and more

Samayara Chhaire or In the shadow of time is a feature length documentary film that explores the journey of Ravana Chhaya, the shadow puppetry form practiced in Odisha. It is popular for its interplay of translucent and dark shadows and the use of lyrical Odiya poetic rendition of Ramayana. The film puts forward an persuasive voice of the present day puppeteers reflecting upon the changes the tradition has undergone in the last over 40 years in the name of keeping it alive
