Phulkari, the vibrant embroidery tradition of Punjab, evokes nostalgic memories of color, music, dance and poetry. The exhibition traces the journey of reviving the thread-counted Phulkari embroidery and its iconic Pehchaan motif, celebrating Punjabi womanhood through a rich collection of vintage heirlooms alongside contemporary works.
The exhibition will be inaugurated on Wednesday 16 September at 11:30 hrs
A walkthrough by Sunaina Suneja will be conducted on Friday, September 18 & 25, Saturday, September 19 & 26 at 16:00 hrs.
A session titled “We Are All Daughters” inviting participants to bring a treasured object associated with a mother, grandmother or another significant woman in their lives, and share the memories it holds will be on Wednesday, 23 September at 16:00 hrs.
The exhibition will remain open daily from 11:00 to 19:00 hrs
