India Tibet Relations (1947-1962) in 4 volumes by Claude Arpi
ABOUT THE BOOKS :
During this fifteen-year period, the world witnessed earth-shaking changes: India became independent; China did its own revolution, resulting in the arrival of a new, more brutal, regime. While most African and Asian countries were decolonized, Tibet, an independent nation, lost its freedom and as a consequence, India’s serene northern frontier vanished. These volumes recount the events whose consequences still reverberate in the Himalaya today.
