To Mark International Women’s Day 2019

 

The 15th IAWRT Asian Women’s Film Festival: 5 to 7 March 2019

The 15th edition of the festival brings together a collection of over 50 films from 20 countries, directed by women filmmakers of Asian origin. The festival includes animated films, students’ films and experimental films and curated segments on Childhood, Female gaze, Seven Sisters and Soundphiles. Highlights of the festival include a special country focus on Georgia and an art installation embodying the female storyteller, the Bioscopwaali

 

Organised in collaboration with International Association of Women in Radio &Television, India Chapter; National Foundation for India; Oxfam India; Tech Mahindra Foundation; Goethe Institut/Max Mueller Bhavan; Friedrich Ebert Stiftung; UN Women; Georgia National Film Center; Embassy of Israel; Cinestaan; and others

 

Screenings will be held in the Auditorium on 5, 6 and 7 March 2019 from 09:30 onwards. Filmmakers from India, Georgia, Israel, Bangladesh, Turkey and Sweden will be present to join in post-screening discussions
