Our Lives
An exhibition of photographs by NatsukoTominaga

Leprosy is one of the world’s oldest diseases. Although completely curable today, the age-old stigma attached to leprosy continues to have an impact on people’s lives. India accounts for over 60 percent of annual new cases of the disease and is home to around 800 self-settled leprosy colonies. Our Lives introduces residents of four such colonies and their experience of leprosy. It also features photographs of persons affected by leprosy in 40 other countries and invites viewers to pause and dwell on what it means to live
