A theatrical adaptation of the film The Breadwinner, the play is set in Kabul during the Taliban rule. Parwana is the story of a brave girl, whose life is turned upside down following her father’s wrongful arrest by the Taliban. With the family having lost its sole breadwinner and women strictly forbidden to work in public, at the tender age of 11, Parwana disguises herself as a boy to support her family…
