The Shepherdess of the Glaciers is a moving story of Tsering, a shepherdess, who leads her flock of 300 sheep and Pashmina goats in search of fodder across the high Himalayan plateau of Ladakh.
In the dry and desolate landscape, she lives with her herd constantly on guard against predatory attacks from wolves and snow leopards. Her brother, Stanzin, followed her over the course of
one year and filmed her exhausting work across the harsh mountain terrain, bringing to the screen exceptional footage of the unique bond Tsering shares with her animals. The wool produced by
her pashmina goats will eventually reach the luxury cashmere industry to be woven into highly prized fabrics and shawls
