Bharat Ki Soch, a think tank committed to researching and revitalizing the insights of Indian wisdom and applying them to contemporary policy challenges and governance frameworks, is desirous of supporting research in the following thematic areas:

Intern
Location: New Delhi, India
Responsibilities: Research, Publication and Outreach on any of the above-mentioned areas.
The Intern is expected to explore the above-mentioned thematic areas by consulting ancient Indian texts, and outlining how the insights from early times might be relevant to contemporary policy and practice.
Tasks
1. Assist in identifying and reviewing primary texts relevant to the themes
2. Support literature reviews and research synthesis
3. Extract and summarise key passages from classical sourcebooks
4. Assist in drafting articles, concept notes, briefs
5. Assist in curating content for newsletters
6. Provide research inputs for conferences, roundtables and public lectures
7. Support in organising workshops, conferences, roundtables, exhibitions etc.
Commitment: Full-time, on all official working days
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
1. MA in Ancient Indian History
2. Knowledge of Ancient scriptures
3. Demonstrated interest in ancient Indian knowledge systems
4. Excellent written and spoken skills in English, Hindi
Desirable
1. Competence in reading premodern sources in at least one South Asian language (Sanskrit, Prakrit, Farsi, Tamil…)
2. Prior research, academic writing or editorial experience
