Chair: Prof. Vivek Suneja, former Pro-Vice-Chancellor, University of Delhi and presently Head & Dean, Faculty of Management Studies, University of Delhi

Prof. Kerkar will speak about her experiences during two Arctic Expeditions in 2009 and in 2019 as part of the Indian Arctic Expeditions. The challenges of working in Ny-Alesund in Norway at the Indian Station; the coal mines in Kongsfjorden, a habitable inlet among the glaciers in the Arctic; the flora and fauna, and the tribes that thrive in extreme conditions in the poles; and how mankind is so dependent on the marine ecosystem without realising its significance.

Between 1952-1965, Le Corbusier’s lesser-known cousin Pierre Jeanneret served as the collaborating Senior Architect on the monumental Chandigarh Capital Project in northern India. In its unprecedented usage of the Pierre Jeanneret Fonds at the Canadian Centre for Architecture (CCA) Archives in Montreal, this presentation explores Jeanneret’s engagements with the idyllic Punjab countryside and Chandigarh hinterland. Jeanneret’s recordings and musings were then undeniable reassertion of the complex human and landscape palimpsest that had and would experience inevitable (and substantial) erasure, while a new city emerged from these untidy ruins

1st International Puppet Film Festival organised in collaboration with Katkatha Puppet Arts Trust; and with the support of the French Institute, New Delhi. The festival presents 21 films from 11 countries that hero the puppet. The festival is divided into three categories - children’s films, documentaries and fiction. The festival also includes an exhibition; discussions with filmmakers and puppeteers who will present their work and vision; as well as workshops
