Illustrated lecture by Yogi Ponappa who studied guitar in New Delhi and Bangkok, and has since played as a soloist and taught at New Brunswick, Canada

The classical guitar is at its heart a chamber music instrument, Over its comparatively short history, its versatility has led to the evolution of large and varied repertoire comprised of both original compositions and adaptations of works written for a variety of instruments, ranging from lute to piano. This presentation will address this brief overview of this instrument through expositions, recordings and demonstrations
