Heart Disease Awareness and screening
A special session will be organized to assess the cardiac status of members and staff of the Centre for prevention of heart attacks in times to come

From 1 pm to 3 pm in Seminar Room I

Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Technique
A demonstration of Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) technique to members and staff of the Centre. 

Participants will be given the opportunity to get a hands-on session of learning the technique of CPR as well as using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), a medical device designed to analyze heart rhythm and deliver an electric shock to victims of ventricular fibrillation to restore the heart rhythm to normal

Recognizing and Preventing Heart Attacks: Do’s and Don’ts

Heart attacks have been a major health concern in our country for many years. Its importance appear even more amplified in the current Covid 19 pandemic, with many young and healthy individuals succumbing to this illness even as they recuperated from seemingly uneventful Covid 19 infections. It is therefore pertinent to recognize important warning signs of this illness and take adequate steps to prevent such premature heart events. The talk will also highlight several personal and lifestyle measure to promote cardiovascular health.

Third lecture in a new monthly series of medical presentations on early signs, prevention and management of diseases/conditions in common medical perspectives by eminent medical consultants. Conceptualised by Dr. Ashwani Kumar.
