Data is the key component in today’s data-driven knowledge-based society. Qualitative development data is the foundation for meaningful policy-making, efficient resource allocation, and effective public service delivery. Today our major challenges reside in the analysis of vast quantities of heterogeneous data from multiple sources. Working with data along all aspects of the development data value chain, from collection, to data management, stewardship, and analysis, while balancing data profusion with data protection becomes imperative. To examine these developments from a global perspective, the proposed conclave is envisaged to facilitate interaction with the experts from across the domains with an aim to chart a roadmap suitable for the Indian ecosystem to guide the further course of action on Data ecosystem for development.
The objective is to connect all segments of the society including information specialists, researchers and librarians to partake in the knowledge sharing sessions on the above theme and key takeaways thereof on various connected issues.
