Set as a musical, Taana Baana: The warp and weft of India weaves together the metaphoric act of weaving with the musical traditions of north India to reflect on diverse facets of the Constitution that holds the nation together. The film uses the prism of a poem by the 14th century poet, Kabir. This poem continues to be sung by a wide range of traditional and contemporary musicians and has been used as a metaphor for the multi-hued fabric that constitutes the IndianRepublic.
