Using photographs, artworks, illustrations, installations, text and digital displays, the exhibition shares glimpses of a journey exploring the structural roots of sexual violence against women in four countries of Southasia – Nepal, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Critically examining through an intersectional lens, prevailing imagery and discourse around gender inequality and challenge the stereotypical depiction of sexual violence on the female and queer body

Considered one of India’s finest masters of abstract art, Ambadas Khobragade (1922-2012), this exhibition is a tribute to mark his birth centenary year. On display are paintings and drawings spanning seven decades of the artists’ practice, from the collection of Dhoomimal Gallery as well as from private collections. The display includes personal letters, photographs, old catalogues and writings on Ambadas and his work

In this interview-documentary on Ambadas, artists, poets and writers introspect on him and his work, tracing his life’s journey through personal anecdotes and critical observations. The viewer is taken through a visual documentation and evolution of Ambadas’ paintings and drawings over almost seven decades of his art practice
Screening will be followed by a discussion with Shri Prayag Shukla, poet, writer and friend of Ambadas and Dr. Shruti Lakhanpal Tandon
The exhibition highlights InterGlobe Foundation’s work in the mapping of ten cities of India along their heritage routes. The revival of lesser known and sidelined musical instruments – shreekhol, taus, and nafiri and the cultural landscape of Lonar crater

Petrykivka Painting
A masterclass on traditional Ukrainian decorative painting style, originating from the village of Petrykvika in Ukraine, where it is used to decorate walls of homes and objects of daily use. The earliest known examples of this style date from the 18th century, but it continues to thrive and develop as a modern art form. It has been included in UNESCO’s list of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2013
The masterclass will be conducted by Elina Nischal and Olga Syrovatko, Ukrainian artists based in India
