Notice for the 67th Annual General Body Meeting
Dear Member,
1. The 67th Annual General Body Meeting (AGBM) of the India International Centre will be held in the Centre’s Auditorium at 5 pm on Friday the 31st March 2023 to transact the following business:
a) Confirmation of the Minutes of the 66th AGBM, as earlier circulated.
b) Adoption of the Director’s Annual Report for 2022-23.
c) Adoption of the Audit Report and Annual Statement of Accounts for the Financial Year 2021-22 as certified by the Auditors.
d) Adoption of the Revised Estimates for 2022-23 and Budget Estimates for 2023-24.
e) Any other matter with the permission of the Chair.
2. The Annual Report will be available on the IIC website. The Audit Report, Revised Estimates and Budget Estimates will be sent to the members email account, whose email id is registered with us. Members are requested to please update their emails with the Membership Department at the earliest. A few copies of the printed Report will also be placed in the IIC Library for perusal of Members.
3. The printed copy of the Report will be made available at the venue for Members who would be attending the Annual General Body Meeting, on the day of the meeting.
4. Members who wish to raise any matter for the consideration under para 1 (e) may kindly send a brief note on the subject so as to reach the undersigned latest by 15th March 2023, by hard copy or at secretary.iic@nic.in).
5. In case there is lack of quorum for the AGBM by 5.00 pm on Friday, the 31st March 2023, the meeting will be adjourned for ten minutes and the adjourned AGBM would then be held at 5.10 pm, to transact the business listed in para 1 above.

Elections to the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee for the period (April 2023-March 2025)
Dear IIC Institutional Member,
Sub: Elections to the Board of Trustees and Executive Committee for the period (April 2023-March 2025)
- A copy of the Election Bye-laws has already been shared with all the eligible members. We are pleased to announce the facility to exercise the right to vote by electronic means for the eligible members. This facility has been arranged through M/s NSDL (National Securities Depository Limited) which has wide experience in conducting such elections and also is STQC complaint. (Strict adherence to the secrecy and confidentiality norms)
- NSDL will send a separate E-Mail with the instructions and user id and password at your registered e-mail id and mobile number with IIC to enable you to cast your vote electronically. Members are to login with the provided user Id and password on the voting URL www.evoting.nsdl.com. As an alternative, the member may login using the OTP option, in which case an OTP will be issued to the member's registered mobile number to verify their membership.
- For institutional members, the E-voting shall have Event Number “123626” for election to one seat (Institutional Category) of Board of Trustees and for Institutional Members other than Universities, the E-voting shall have Event Numbers “123628”, for election to one seat (Institutional Category) of Executive Committee respectively.
- The remote E-voting facility will be available round the clock during the following period:

- If you do not wish to cast your vote through electronic means, you shall have the option to cast your vote physically by the EVM (Electronic Voting Machine) at the Polling Booth at IIC Main Centre on 25th March 2023, any time from 10:00 hours to 18:00 hours.

Sylvia Plath: An Iconic Life
Heather Clark will discuss her award-winning biography of the American writer Sylvia Plath, whose iconic poems changed the course of Anglo-American poetry. Clark will discuss Plath's poetry and fiction, her literary legacy, and the challenges of writing Plath's biography.
Chair and Discussant: Anupama Raju, novelist and poet
Heather Clark is the author of Red Comet: The Short Life and Blazing Art of Sylvia Plath, which was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Biography, the winner of the Truman Capote Prize for Literary Criticism, and the London Biographers' Club Slightly Foxed Prize for Best First Biography. It was a 2021 New York Times Top Ten Book of the Year. Clark is also the author of The Grief of Influence: Sylvia Plath and Ted Hughes and The Ulster Renaissance: Poetry in Belfast, 1962-1972. She is a 2022 Guggenheim Fellow and Professor of Contemporary Poetry at the University of Huddersfield.
Meet the Artist
Parthiv Shah, photographer, filmmaker, graphic designer will speak on Haku Shah (1934-2019), artist, cultural anthropologist, teacher
Haku Shah was an eminent painter, cultural anthropologist, teacher, Gandhian, and author of Indian folk and tribal art as well as many children's books. He was associated with the National Institute of Design right from its inception in the early 1960s. He also taught at the School of Architecture, Ahmedabad for several years and was Regent Professor at the University of California, Davis.
Haku Shah conducted art and design workshops and lectured across the world and was invited by renowned Art historian, Dr. Stella Kramrisch in 1967 to curate the seminal exhibition, “Unknown India” which travelled to the USA. He established a tribal museum at the Gujarat Vidyapeeth in Ahmedabad, a university established by Mahatma Gandhi. He has exhibited his art in India and across the world. He was a recipient of several honours including the Padma Shri, the Kala Shiromani, the Nehru Fellowship, the Rockefeller Fellowship, and the Kala Ratna for his contribution to art. Haku Shah was Chairman and founder trustee of Bhooma, LokShilpa Sansthan, Ahmedabad, the city where he lived and worked.
