Our Lives
An exhibition of photographs by NatsukoTominaga

Leprosy is one of the world’s oldest diseases. Although completely curable today, the age-old stigma attached to leprosy continues to have an impact on people’s lives. India accounts for over 60 percent of annual new cases of the disease and is home to around 800 self-settled leprosy colonies. Our Lives introduces residents of four such colonies and their experience of leprosy. It also features photographs of persons affected by leprosy in 40 other countries and invites viewers to pause and dwell on what it means to live

The recent scams in Indian Banks exposed the deep malaise in the country's financial system. Offline LOUs were used for defrauding banks of thousands of crores. Private players used state-owned banks to enrich themselves; when discovered they fled abroad. Going by past experience investigative agencies will take their own time in preparing a legal case. Can this happen without political patronage? Who ultimately pays for this? Is privatisation of PSU banks the answer? What stringent regulatory interventions can be put in place to stop repeat frauds?

Directors: Terri Randall, Joshua Seftel

How do you get a genius brain? Is it all in your genes? Or is it hard work? Is it possible that everyone's brain has untapped genius–just waiting for the right circumstances so it can be unleashed? From a man who can immediately name the day of the week of any date in history to a "memory athlete" who can remember strings of hundreds of random numbers, David Pogue meets people stretching the boundaries of what the human mind can do. Then, Pogue puts himself to the test: after high-resolution scanning, he finds out how the anatomy of his brain measures up against the greatest mind of the century: Albert Einstein
