Curated by Arundhati Virmani, Fellow, EHESS, Marseilles, and author of The Historical Atlas of India (2011)
From an expansive perspective on the subcontinent to zooms into particular regions, these maps delineate spatial organizations since the 6th century BCE and trade links from the Mediterranean world to China, and throw light on the circulation of cultural traditions, imperial management and nationalist protest
