Shajahanabad’s intimate relationship with food began during the Mughal era. Here, in the old walled city, also popularly known as Delhi–6, food traditions still hold sway and culinary secrets have been passed down almost unchanged for generations. In continuation of last weekend’s Mughlai theme, this weekend’s Menu brings more of the cuisine of the historic heart of Delhi, which more than three centuries later, has survived intact to the present day. This weekend, take a virtual journey to the teeming by-lanes of Purani Dilli for its fabled street food, with our specially curated array of dishes. IIC will be serving the menu, specially curated by Ms. Gunjan Goela from 3rd December to 5th December 2021. These items shall be served in addition to the regular menu in the Dining Hall and Lounge, and also can be booked on prior demand as ‘Takeaway’ items.
