Recently, however, strains have developed in the alliance. Turkey is now more inclined towards Russia. The break up with NATO whether imminent or not makes Turkey's support meaningless

Nigeria has been at the heart of India’s outreach to Africa for decades. The economic relationship in the past revolved around oil supplies but today, both economies have much more to offer each other. India’s accomplishments in software and robust startup ecosystem are well-known. Less known is that Nigeria, for example, is home to Africa’s most valuable tech ecosystem.

The High Commissioner will discuss the story of India-Nigeria relations, the nature of and extent of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, and the significance of Nigeria to Africa and the world at large
